Vinicius Jr is a Brazilian footballer of African descent. He was born on July 12, 2000, in Sao Goncalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to parents Mauro Vinicius da Silva and Tatiana Araujo. Vinicius Jr grew up in a low-income family and started playing football at a young age. He got his breakthrough when he joined the youth academy of Flamengo in 2010 and made rapid progress, eventually becoming one of the most exciting young players in the world.
